Abu Dhabi, UAE, October 25, 2021 – With temperatures in the UAE getting cooler, explorers can enjoy a stroll down the sprawling boardwalk that runs through the majestic mangroves at Jubail Mangrove Park (JMP), and discover all the activities that the park has on offer throughout the season with its open day event to be held on Friday, October 29.
Jubail Mangrove Park, which reopened after the summer months in September, will be welcoming guests for its open day with an array of family-friendly activities that will be available throughout the winter period, making Jubail Mangrove Park the perfect day out for family and friends.
The park’s specially trained rangers have resumed their educational tours, which focus on the historical significance of the mangroves, as well as wildlife native to Abu Dhabi that can be spotted within the lush natural habitat and crystal waters. New for 2021, Jubail Mangrove Park is calling little explorers across the UAE to join the trained rangers in learning about the importance of the natural eco-system with JMP’s ‘Become a Little Ranger’ experience, available daily for those aged between 6 and 13 years old.
Guests can also enjoy a walk through the 2.3 km boardwalk to see a variety of terrestrial and aquatic flora and fauna, practice yoga or soundbites healing, as well as make the most of the park’s famous kayaking experiences. Available at sunrise and sunset, as well as at night and full moon, JMP’s kayaking experiences offer guests the opportunity to see the park from a completely new perspective. Jubail’s new kayak store is now open where guests can shop for their own kayaking gear, including SUPs, and paddle boards.
The Jubail Mangrove Park serves as an educational, natural, and leisure destination, aiming to enhance the awareness, appreciation and understanding of the important ecological function of the mangrove habitats that include protection of the Abu Dhabi Coastline and supporting biodiversity. Available during the open day on the 29th of October, guests will have the chance to learn more about the fascinating mangrove forest with new activities including mangrove seeding and JMP’s ‘clean, conserve, and protect mangroves’ workshop.
Jubail Mangrove Park open day will welcome guests from 7 a.m to 11 p.m (last entry at 10 p.m) and will be complete with food trucks, art workshops, and yoga programs – the perfect way to spend the weekend in a fun filled and wellness environment.
As per the Abu Dhabi city guidelines, guests will require a green status on the Hosn app in order to enter the park.
